PROGRAM DETAILS
The Bonus
• Referrer: $300 for every successful referral - refer as many reporters as you like and earn $300 each time one qualifies.
• Referred reporter: $300 on meeting the conditions below.
Who Can Refer Any Active Court Reporter. Active = at least one Steno job completed or in progress within the prior 180 days. You must be Active on the date you submit the referral and on the date the bonus is earned.
Who Can Be Referred A California court reporter (including both machine and voice writers) in good standing with a valid and current license with the Court Reporters Board of California who is a new to Steno - has never taken a court reporting services job with Steno.
Exclusions
• You cannot refer yourself, or anyone who is not licensed to work in California.
• Not eligible if the referred reporter already has a Steno account or an application in progress.
• If two referrers submit the same reporter, the earliest timestamped submission wins.
• You cannot refer a reporter to complete jobs on a case to which you are already assigned and completing jobs.

How the Bonus Is Earned Once the referred reporter's Steno account setup is complete, they must complete 3 in-person California jobs within 45 days.
• A job counts as complete when it is billable to Steno and transcripts (where applicable) are turned in. Cancellations, no-shows, and non-billable jobs do not count.
Payment Bonus is paid within 30 days of the referred reporter meeting all conditions.
Program Duration This program runs through October 30, 2026, and may be terminated earlier at any time at Steno's sole discretion. Steno may also extend or modify the program at its sole discretion. Referrals submitted on or before October 30, 2026 remain eligible to earn a bonus under the timelines above, even where those timelines extend past the program end date. Referrals submitted before a termination or modification date will be honored under the terms in effect at the time of submission.
