What We Do

Steno offers a full suite of court reporting and legal support services, but it’s the way we offer them that makes us unique.

Testimonials

Every Steno client gets exceptional customer service, with a dedicated account management team and around-the-clock support.

Excellent platform with the simplest steps to log in of any deposition I’ve been to, and I liked being able to move the participants into squares to view easily. No complaints.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does Steno offer its court reporting services?

Steno offers coverage for court reporting services in most states. We work with thousands of independent court reporters, which allows us to offset the impacts of the national shortage and get your cases covered across the country. Additionally, we can assist with arranging court reporters for international depositions through our network of partners.

How does Steno ensure the security and confidentiality of our case information?

Steno prioritizes the security and confidentiality of your case information. We are HIPAA compliant and SOC-2 Type II certified, ensuring adherence to the highest industry standards for data security and privacy. For more detailed information about our security measures, please visit trust.steno.com.

For sealed or confidential proceedings, we have protocols in place and extensive experience in adhering to court orders regarding confidentiality.

Can Steno book conference rooms for in-person depositions?

Yes, Steno customers have access to a national network of meeting spaces and conference rooms for in-person proceedings available to you at no additional charge.

What kind of support can I expect from Steno?

Every Steno client is provided with a dedicated account manager who offers personalized concierge support tailored to their firm's needs. Our average response time to client inquiries is less than 15 minutes. Your account manager serves as your primary point of contact for scheduling, special requests, and issue resolution.

I’m a defense firm, can I use DelayPay?

Yes, DelayPay is available to both plaintiff and defense firms at fair and transparent pricing, on either a recourse or non-recourse basis, depending on the state and case type.

With DelayPay, no payment is due until the case closes. There is no interest charged and no price fluctuations based on the size of recovery. In non-recourse cases, if there is no disbursement of funds, we do not pursue payment. That means:
  • For defense firms, payment is collected only if you are required to pay a judgment or settlement.
  • For plaintiff firms, payment is collected only if funds are disbursed from a judgment or settlement.
It’s important to note that Steno is not a financial institution and does not provide cash to law firms to fund litigation. We simply defer payment for our own court reporting services.
